This is The Natural Speaker x Joon & Jung of Eindhoven.
The idea behind these speakers is to take advantage of the properties that natural materials hold. They found porcelain to be the best material for giving a clear, mellow and resonant sound. These would’ve been formed and then fired in a kiln at between 1200 -1400 degrees. Inside, there is combination of wood and porcelain. The hardwood sticks are glued in a specific way to house the cable inputs and to help resonate the sound.
The design is clean, neat and natural not to mention quirky and unique. The resonant base is made from hardwood sticks of various widths. The porcelain top and wooden base are held together by two thin leather straps.
Joon & Jung are a multi-discipline design studio based in the Netherlands.
